“You really need to believe me when I say: you can be happy again after a divorce. This will need time and good advice. A good procedure with a long-term arrangement as a result can bring about that happiness sooner. I wish everyone going through a similar phase a happy future. That is why, in my toolbox, I have collected a vast amount of knowledge, various skills learned from books, intensive study programs and trainings in the Netherlands as well as abroad on all possible subjects related to divorce, as well as a bucket full of personal work and life experience. I’m always happy to share this knowledge and expertise with anyone who finds himself or herself in a similar painful process, irrespective of whether you are the person who is initiating the divorce or the person who was jilted. I cannot make this easier for you, but I can listen and guide you, while providing you with all I have to offer. My objective is a good arrangement and a happy client, if only because children benefit most from two happy parents who each in turn have so much to offer.”

“What drives me to exercise this extraordinary profession (for that how I see it), is that I can truly contribute with sincere intention and interest to a new future of the people who turn to me for advice and guidance. To really be useful to that person and to be truly approachable. I am especially interested in contributing all my knowledge (legal, fiscal, psychological/emotional and financial) which I have gained over the years, so that the goal envisaged by the clients can actually be within reach. I do this by means of a stress-free people-oriented approach, focused on a pre-determined long-term solution. This is where both of my professions, lawyer on the one hand and mediator/collaborative lawyer on the other, merge beautifully. I always try to de-escalate the conflict. It is very important to me that this happens with dignity and respect, in an authentic manner. My diplomatic attitude, tactfulness and thoroughness are useful in this respect. With creativity, humour, sharp analytic skills and commitment, I endeavour to reach a good solution together with my client(s).”
